    Wow. This picture sent shivers down my spine because of the sheer historic nature of it. Back then no one knew Thurgood Marshal would become who he became. He may have had an innate desire for greatness but man…look at him now. He’s written into history books. smh. This is powerful stuff here Professor Mance. I’m glad I found your blog!

    I am a graduate of Lincoln U. of PA and this is a marvelous photo of Justice Thurgood Marshall. One for history! I’m proud to be a Lincolnite!

    I love seeing this picture!! My grandfather was in the same fraternity with him, and also graduated with him. There is another picture that the librarian at Lincoln sent to me with the whole fraternity in it. My granfather is in that one with him.
